Scientists are bored again. Now they want to fix the Internet because, and this is a quote from Dipankar Raychaudhuri (he's from Rutgers University)(the center of the media world for a week strong now):

"It's sort of a miracle that it continues to work well today."

If by working well he means massive infestations of Spyware, viruses, worms and zombies then yeah, the Internet is freaking perfect. This was kind of funny too, but only if you put on your blinverted goggles:

"[The Internet] works well in many situations but was designed for completely different assumptions."

You think when the first two computers talked to each other in 1969 they were sending X-rated photos? Yeah, anyone who worked to invent the Internet must not have assumed the number of girls who get bombed on for an international audience 24 hours a day would be in the millions.

Maybe they did, I mean, 1969 did have the summer of love and the number 69 right in it.

Now look at me assuming a lot.

I have a trio of beauty in Blinverted.com now. I have an interview of the wonderful Mary Schaefer in text, a photo of the lovely Lindsey Warm and the sound of The Spurloafers (with their amazing lead singer Denise Lane's voice) serenading the weary net travelers.

Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code, won his copyright case across the pond.

This is from the March 28 MSNBC report (I wanted to get to this earlier but it was a busy news week):

'Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh had sued Browns publisher, Random House Inc., claiming he had copied from their 1982 nonfiction book, The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail.'

I have read The Da Vinci Code and the most interesting parts was the Holy Grail lore that Robert Langdon was trying to figure out. I did not find Robert Langdon the least bit interesting until Tom Hanks played him. So, Mr. Brown should cut Mr. Baigent and Mr. Leigh a check if their book helped him.

Mr. Baigent and Mr. Leigh tried to help themselves but it seems there book was made in 1982 to provide light onto a dark topic and they should be thrilled that someone actually read it. They wanted more of the pie though and now in the eyes of Blinverted, they are a couple of greedy fucks.

It doesn't take much. Hell, sometimes even Blinverted holds me accountable and I think I created the mother-fucker. Sometimes I think that pop culture created Blinverted and I am merely the conduit who can work a keyboard.

Today we lament and celebrate. We lament the sad history of racial injustice by celebrating the baseball career of Jackie Robinson. Every player wearing number 42 today is touching immortality and feeling the hope that things will get better.

They are, we just hear so much bad news that we are almost forced to forget the beauty of the world. We lament that today is April 15 (aka Tax Day) but we celebrate that we get a two day grace period thanks the the Sabbath.

Just another reason to love Sunday.

And to bookend this entry, here are some of the cool acronyms for the new Internet projects:

GENI (Global Environment for Network Innovations)

FIND (Future Internet Network Design)

FIRE (Future Internet Research and Experimentation)

And this one is from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back:

LABIA (Liberate Apes Before Imprisoning Apes)
