With the election finally over, America can now look to the future with a clearer vision. It seemed that with President Bush's horrible approval rating and the financial meltdown we are feeling at this present time that John McCain was fighting a losing battle.

I mean, it's not like John Kerry was the Democratic candidate this time around.

McCain showed class in defeat as much as Barack Obama showed humility in victory.

President-elect Obama has one heck of a hill to climb as the regime of George Bush finally grinds to a halt. In a dawn of a new century and millenium, America chose the wrong man for office. Even that is not as cut and dry as it appears with his brother the governor of the state that pushed him over the edge in 2000. An election that will forever be mired in controversy and debate.

It is hard to remember what Bush's agenda was before 9/11 at this point but it is easy to remember what his agenda was after that date. Saudi Arabian financed terrorists attacked America so we started wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Both wars have reached quagmire levels, both lacked exit plans and both still are raging on.

The sins of Bush caused the liberal takeover of the Senate in 2006 and further accountability occurred last night as the grip on the Senate strengthened and now there is a liberal in the White House for the first time this century.

George Bush acted without any restraint for most of his life and it took the voters of this country to finally hold him accountable.

It is not an end-all sentence for the conservatives of this country though. It is now the Democrats that have the power and if they cannot begin to re-build America then the voters of this country will have to go back to the Republicans in order to hold the Democrats accountable.

I Guess that is the problem with our two party system, there is no third choice to hold them accountable so they just have to bide their time until the other screws it up and they get their chance to screw it up again.

It seems that our system might be more flawed than a mere change in power can fix. Maybe I am too pesimistic, I mean, America is a lot older than me and here I am saying that this two party system is not working annymore. I have one solution, bring back the Whig Party.
