I think the world is getting me down. Maybe it is all of the ads for erectile dysfunction. The world seems to be going to hell in a handbasket so why is it so important that we are always fucking?
Why is there a pill that can fix that problem when one of the biggest problems on the planet is lackluster parenting? Where is the pill for that?
Then I am watching Mike Vick publicly apologize and it was only the beginning. On ESPN, men in suits said what they thought of his statement. On the NFL Network, more guys in suits talked about what they thought of what Mike Vick said. Then the Falcons franchise had a press conference and more men in suits talked about how that went.
I just don't care anymore.
The Falcons want money back from Vick since he can no longer play. The NFL will back the Falcons as they try to take back their cash but the NFLPA will fight for Vick to keep his money.
The media decides what we should care about by reporting the news that sells and I just don't care what they think anymore.
Who are these people that speak about Mike Vick like it is as important as erectile dysfunction? Is there a difference anymore? During the segment, Mike Vick dominates the news then during commercial it is all about penises and how they function.
Who do we take seriously anymore?
I will tell you who right now...
Us.
When we spend our lives talking and worrying about them, we lose sight that it is us who makes them what they are. You wanna see Lindsey Lohan go away then stop watching her shit. You wanna see Britney go away then stop buying those magazines where she is on the cover.
If you know more about Brad Pitt's relationship than your own then you are failing at your own life. Here is the thing, none of those idiots are important to report on yet their lives are made interesting by sharing.
And it's always bad news.
Form a club with your friends and let's rediscover what makes our lives so great.
If it seems that your life isn't all that great then find out why. It is your life, you have control and just because no one knows about your dirty laundry does not mean that your dirty laundry is not interesting.
Everything you do is interesting because you are alive in the greatest time to be alive.

It might have been better then but we were not there and it might be better tomorrow but we might not get there so take charge of your life now and stop worrying about what the media tells you is important.
